MURDER

03/14/2017

In the continuing investigation in the death of Naomi Michelle Miller, Tom Green County Sheriff’s Deputies and Texas Ranger Nick Hanna developed additional information and evidence in the investigation of her death.

On Tuesday, March 14, 2017, Tom Green County Sheriff’s Deputy Billy Fiveash signed a complaint charging LUDONNA GAIL YODER, age 41, with the offense of Murder in the death of Naomi Michelle Miller.  Judge Eddie Howard, Tom Green County Precinct Four Justice of the Peace, issued a warrant for her arrest.  On Tuesday, March 14, 2017, Deputy Fiveash and Texas Ranger Nick Hanna, with the assistance of the McCulloch County Sheriff’s Office, arrested Ms. YODER.  YODER was arraigned in Brady, Texas and transported to San Angelo and booked into the Tom Green County Jail.

Previously in this investigation, ROBERT LAMAR MILLER was arrested and charged with the Murder of Naomi Miller on March 2, 2017.  MILLER remains in the Tom Green County with his bond set at $500,000.00.

On March 8, 2017, the human remains of Naomi Miller was located and recovered on the property at 3613 East F.M. 2105 in Tom Green County.  The location of the human remains were consistent with the area ROBERT MILLER and LADONNA YODER had identified during interviews with law enforcement.

On March 13, 2017, Deputy Fiveash and Ranger Hanna, in a subsequent interview, obtained a written statement from LUDONNA YODER that described the murder of Naomi Miller and the participation of both ROBERT MILLER and LUDONNA YODER in Miller’s death.  YODER described the disposing of Miller’s body on the night of the murder in a shallow grave at the residence where the murder occurred. YODER further described the subsequent removal of the body from where it was first buried and the reburial at the location where the human remains of Naomi Miller were discovered on March 8, 2017.

The investigation into the murder of Naomi Miller in December 2005 is ongoing and will be presented to a Tom Green County Grand Jury.

Sheriff Jones is extremely proud of the excellent work and investigation that has gone in to this 12 year old missing person case that turned into a murder investigation.  The Tom Green Sheriff’s Office along with the Texas Rangers have put in countless hours to bring the case to a conclusion and justice to this victim of this crime.
