UPDATE: On 6/3/20,  Deputies with the Tom Green County Sheriff's Office arrested a 23 year old  subject for the hit and run accident which occurred on May 31, 2020 at approximately 2:30 AM.  At approximately 11:45 AM yesterday, Tom Green County Sheriff's Office Investigators located a potential suspect vehicle in Mertzon, Texas.  The vehicle, a 2007 Chevrolet pickup was discovered to have damage consistent with other known information.  Efforts to conceal the damage had been made on the vehicle.  Investigators obtained a search warrant for the vehicle and transported it to San Angelo for evidence processing resulting in the discovery of additional evidence.  Investigators further identified a person of interest in the investigation and were able to identify the driver of the hit and run vehicle.  A warrant was obtained by Tom Green County Sheriff's Office Investigator Sergeant Corey Speck and the following individual was taken into custody.
