On January 09, 2021, patrol deputies from the Tom Green County Sheriff's Office served an arrest warrant at the San Angelo Lodge, located at 1717 West Beauregard.  Deputies made contact and arrested Armando Cruz, age 33, for several felony warrants.  While making the arrest, drug paraphernalia was observed in the vicinity of where Armando Cruz was placed in custody.  Criminal Investigations responded and assisted with a search of the hotel room.  Numerous firearms were located including a stolen AR-15 rifle.  A large quantity of suspected Methamphetamine was seized as well.  A second suspect, Daniel Ruiz, age 39, was taken into custody.  Additional arrests and charges are pending.
