On June 1, 2018, Tom Green County Deputy Sheriff Graham Smith conducted a traffic stop in the 400 block of Bryant Boulevard on a vehicle being operated by Stephanie Ramirez.  Deputy Smith developed reasonable suspicion that Ramirez was in possession of illegal substances.  San Angelo Police Department K-9 Officer Tanner Tumlinson was called to the traffic stop for a free air search around the vehicle and received a positive alert.  Subsequent probable cause search of the vehicle found approximately 7.8 grams of heroin, .7 grams of methamphetamine and 2.7 grams of marijuana.  Ramirez was arrested and charged with Manufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance, PG 1>= 4 grams

 

On June 1, 2018, Tom Green County Sergeant Investigator Orlando Juarez observed a vehicle being driven by Richard Chitwood.  Sergeant Juarez was aware that a felony warrant had been issued for the arrest of Chitwood.  Investigators contacted Chitwood in the 1800 block of Greenwood in San Angelo.  Chitwood was arrested on three warrants for Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 1 < 1 gram, Bail Jumping / Fail to Appear and another warrant for Possession of a Controlled Substance PG 1=4 grams < 200 grams.  The passenger in Chitwood’s vehicle was identified as Esequiel Santos.   Investigators found that Santos also had a warrant issued for his arrest for a Parole Violation.  Chitwood and Santos were both booked into the Tom Green County Jail.
