SHERIFF'S OFFICE CONDUCTS SATURATION OPERATION RESULTING IN MULTIPLE ARRESTS

Date Posted: 10/17/2025

Yesterday, between the hours of 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., the Tom Green County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations, Patrol Division, and Warrants Divisions conducted a team-based daytime saturation patrol in three different pre-identified areas.  This five-hour operation resulted in thirty-five traffic stops, nine vehicle searches, six arrests, and a short vehicle pursuit.  The vehicle pursuit ended as the suspects abandoned the vehicle in a parking lot and tried to hide from law enforcement in a local Walmart.  They were quickly identified, located, and arrested.  Five of the arrests involved illegal narcotics and several included outstanding warrants as well.

Sheriff Nick Hanna said, "Having multiple Deputies within our different divisions working together to saturate some of our higher crime areas will hopefully send a clear and resounding message to the criminal element within our community."

The Tom Green County Sheriff's Office remains committed to combating criminal acts, keeping illegal substances off our streets, and ensuring the safety of our community through proactive measures, including operations such as this.
