SHERIFF'S OFFICE TRAFFIC STOP RESULTS IN ARREST OF CONVICTED FELON POSSESSING FIREARMS AND NARCOTICS
On April 6, 2026, patrol deputies with the Tom Green County Sheriff's Office conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 11700 block of North US Highway 87. During the stop, the deputy developed probable cause and conducted a search. The driver, Edgar Madrigal, 35 YOA, of Arkansas, was in possession of over 40 grams of Methamphetamine, various narcotic packaging items, over an ounce of Marijuana, 2 pistols, and a rifle. Madrigal was arrested and charged with Man Del CS PG 1-B>=4G<2OOG, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by Felon, and Possession of Marijuana <2oz.
