SUSPECT IDENTIFIED IN SHOOTING INCIDENT

The suspect in yesterday's shooting incident has been identified as Larry Don Ballard, 72, of San Angelo. Ballard has been charged with Aggravated Assault Against Public Servant, a first degree felony. Ballard is currently receiving medical treatment for injuries sustained during the incident. He remains under the supervision of the Tom Green County Sheriff's Office.
This remains an active and ongoing investigation and further charges may be forthcoming.
