07/19/2022

On Monday July 18, 2022, the Tom Green County Sheriff's Office and Homeland Security Investigations were conducting surveillance on a residence in San Angelo believed to be occupied by Juan Morales, age 38.  Juan Morales currently has nine active warrants for his arrest, seven of them being felony level offenses.

A person believed to be Juan Morales was seen entering a vehicle parked on the property.  As law enforcement approached, the vehicle left the residence and fled.  After a short vehicle pursuit through northern San Angelo, the pursuit was called off due to public safety concerns.

A short time later, the suspect vehicle was located at a residence near the intersection of 16th Street and Farr Street.  Officers had reason to believe that Juan Morales was inside of the residence and was barricaded.  A search warrant was issued for the residence and the Sheriff's Office Special Response Team made entry.  Juan Morales was not located inside the residence.

A further search led to the recovery of a stolen handgun and approximately two ounces of methamphetamine as well as identifying information.  Criminal charges are pending.

The Sheriff's Office was assisted by officers with the San Angelo Police Department and Homeland Security Investigations.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Juan Morales is encouraged to contact the Tom Green County Sheriff's Office, the San Angelo Police Department, or Crime Stoppers.  Morales is considered to be armed and dangerous.
