On Wednesday, November 21, 2023, at approximately 5:52 AM, the San Angelo Police Department received a call from an individual who had just broken into the Tom Green County Courthouse.    Concurrently, alarms inside the courthouse were notifying local law enforcement agencies of the break-in.   

Officers from the San Angelo Police Department and deputies from the Tom Green County Sheriff's Office responded to find Noe Blanco, 27 YOA, inside one of the courtrooms.   Blanco was taken into custody at approximately 6:10 AM.   

Mr.  Blanco had broken into the courthouse to seek shelter and had subsequently called SAPD.    Officers took Blanco into custody for the offense of criminal mischief, criminal trespass, and an outstanding parole violation warrant.  

Damage to the courthouse was limited to one window.    Blanco is currently in custody at the Tom Green County Detention Center and the investigation remains active.
