The Tom Green County Sheriff's Office is investigating a fatal shooting in Carlsbad.  

At approximately 12:21 PM, Deputies were dispatched to a report of a gunshot victim at a residence in the 11000 block of Texas Oak Road.   Upon arrival, deputies located one male and one female subject at the scene, both had sustained gunshot wounds.  

The female subject was determined to be deceased at the scene.   The male subject was transported to Shannon Hospital and later succumbed to his injuries.  

The identities of the victims are being withheld pending notification of the family.   

At the time of this press release, this remains an active investigation.    Additionally, there is no active threat to the public regarding this incident.
